Other than this tiny fact the story has an uncanny resemblance to “ Catcher in the Rye”. He, Christopher, has Asperger’s syndrome and he struggles everyday to live a normal life, which is very abnormal and chaotic to him without clear logic and definitions. I also have a bad feeling for not liking the book, because this is a story of a boy, who is by social norm not normal.
I did not donate off-course, but that feeling of remorse is still there with me. I felt remorse that I am doubting that this is a fishing call and I will be cheated if I answer. Let me tell you, what I felt when I got a call like this. Tell me what do you feel when some tele-caller calls you in the morning and asks you to donate for a charity, where somewhere a kid has a hole in her heart and they are just lacking fifty-three thousand and three hundred rupees from the target amount to perform the surgery and they want your help.
